Company Profile


LR Geo is a Professional Land Surveying company based in Meridian, Idaho.
Founded in the spring of 2019, current economic conditions and perseverance allowed our founders to pursue their dream of business ownership.
We have over 40 years of combined Land Surveying experience throughout the State of Idaho. Our mission is to provide a level of service that projects a high degree of professionalism and knowledge, leaving our clientele confident in their selection.
In addition to boundary surveying, we are an industry-leading provider of detailed aerial imagery for mapping projects of almost any scale.
Though we are a smaller company, we have the technology and skill to match the larger and more established firms in the state. Of our 5 employees, 3 are professionally licensed, and 3 are FAA Part 107-certified UAS pilots.

Aaron Rush, PLS
Aaron Rush

Aaron began his land surveying career in 1992, as a 14-year-old chainman for his father’s company in the Midwest. He went on to receive his B.S. Degree in Geomatics Engineering from The Ohio State University. After visits to Idaho during college, he chose to make this state his home in 2004. Aaron has been licensed in Idaho since 2006 and has the respect of his peers throughout the surveying community. In addition to his professional career, Aaron has served as the Editor for the Gem State Surveyor.

Outside of surveying, you can find Aaron in the mountains either soaking, skiing, backpacking, or mountain biking depending on the season and company.

Chad Leatherman
Chad Leatherman

Chad discovered his passion for land surveying in McCall, Idaho the summer of 2003 working for Kerr Surveying. Since then he has continued to develop his surveying techniques both in the field and office. In 2018 he received his B.S. degree in Geomatics Technology from ISU.  The State of Idaho granted Chad his Professional Surveying License in 2020.  He also received his Part 107 commercial drone license in 2017 and has been flying sites, processing the aerial data, and producing 3D maps ever since.
When Chad is not working, he enjoys camping with his family, fishing in mountain lakes, and playing a round of golf.

Joe Renaldo

Joe began his love of land surveying as a young man, working summers for his father’s firm in St. Maries Idaho.  In 2006, he moved to Boise and earned his B.S. Degree in Social Science from Boise State University.  Joe has always loved surveying and the outdoors, so in 2017, he began pursuing his professional license.  In 2022 he graduated from Idaho State University’s Surveying and Geomatics Engineering program, and in 2023 Idaho granted him his Professional Surveying License. He also earned his FAA Part 107 UAS license in 2019.
Whether it’s mountain biking, camping, or hiking; when not surveying, Joe, along with his wife and dog, can generally be found adventuring down one of Idaho’s many beautiful mountain back roads..

Hunter Tek
 
Hunter began land surveying in southern Arizona for mining companies after being introduced to the industry through geology, originally.  He got his B.S. Degree in Geosciences with an emphasis in Geology from the University of Arizona.  He has been a survey crew chief since 2018 and earned his FAA Part 107 UAS license in 2020.  He has conducted aerial drone surveys of large private properties as well as roadway corridors for the Idaho Transportation Department.
Hunter enjoys being an Idaho outdoorsman and strives to be a weekend warrior.  He revels in the vast number of opportunities this state holds; be it morel hunting or ice fishing, you can usually find him outside.
